New Post Finally

Wow, definitely been sometime since I’ve give a good update here and will try to keep it updated on a weekly basis. My last update was on October 23rd. Well over a month. Lets see what I’ve done since Late September.

One the 29th of September I was bored, so I went out for some pictures. I ended up first at Danial Pratt’s grave in downtown Prattville. Hung around there for a while then headed out. Drove around and stopped at some tracks by the two plastic factories that are across the street from each other in Prattville. See Pictures here! (97 pictures)

Early October on a Monday night I went to Atlanta with some friends to see MC Chris (www.mcchris.com) and Pinback (www.pinback.com), well after leaving a little late and getting lost we finally made it to the Roxy (I think). Got to hear/ see 1.5 MC Chris songs. On the last song his Mac mini crashed and rapped accapella to Fett’s Vette, was pretty entertaining. Then saw Pinback and they were pretty good and I might see them again one day. Scroll down to the Random Gallery to see some images from the show.

Also early October we had a family gathering out in Coosa County, AL at my grandfathers land/Uncle John’s House for a Catfish fry. Was a lot of fun. Got to meet some distant cousins for the first time and some I’ve met already. Lots of stories, jokes, loud fun. A lot of people got to try out Grandpa’s new Toy, his Ginormous 4-wheeler. That was fun, first time I’d been on an automatic. I walked around saw a lot of bugs and a tiny spider holding onto a piece of grass, almost walked into it. See picture in gallery. We finally ate and it was some damn good catfish along with some other great food! We stayed out till the stars came out and I took some blurry pictures of stars. Had a great time, ended up leaving out of there around 10p.m. See our day out at the CatFish Fry part 01 | 02

My birthday was October 11 and my brothers was the 10. Weekend before our birthdays, our parents and Grandfather took us out to eat. We went to Red Robin and it was pretty good. Later that week I went out with friends to Kabuki, the best sushi in Montgomery, and ate, talked, goofed off. Got some great cards and gifts, thanks guys for coming!! There was miscellaneous nothingness the rest of October that I can remember. Halloween came and went.

November rolls around and I got to go see MC Chris again, for a full headlined show. My cool friend Crystal went with me. Met her in Birmingham by the venue and we walked downhill a few blocks to a Thai restaurant where I got some sushi and she got duck. My sushi and her duck was damn good! We talked and had fun. We paid and left and then regretted walking, I wanna say it was 3 blocks of walking uphill we had to do on full stomachs, it sucked. We made it and hung around outside and goofed off and talked. Finally the show started and we got in there. Good crowd we laughed, danced around like idiots, yelled singing along. It was great. Will definitely have to go see MC Chris again when he gets near. Thanks for going Crystal!!

The next big November item was the day of turkey. One of our yearly family rituals, gather at one house, bring food, eat and have a good time. And we did. It was our first Turkey day without my Grandmother (My mom’s mom) since her passing about 6 months ago (earlier in Nov. we went to our grandmothers funeral home for a Candlelight vigil to have a candle lit in her name along with so many others that lost their loved ones that year), but we remembered her in our thoughts and hearts. Met some new extended family by marriage (people from vinces side of the family). Always good to meet new people. Well also in November i went to see Beowulf in Digital 3D and it was an awesome movie! Actually saw it again on Black Friday with my brother while his car was on the shop. Got a couple black friday deals, but nothing major. And just at the end of November, my friends Bryan and Leslie had their first child, Kaylee Eden. Cute lil o baby.

December came around. Last friday was the annual Hatton-Brown Christmas Decorating and Pizza Party. The same day we got paid and I went to the bank. Well I was sitting in my car in front of the bank ordering some flowers for my mother that was from my brother and I, then I got out and went into the bank and when I came back my doors were locked and my keys were still in the car, booooo. So I ended up calling my Mom, luckily she’d not gone to work yet, so she was able to bring me the spare key. I had a spare key in my wallet, but my wallet’s gotten holy, so it probably fell out. We ate and put up decorations outside and I took some pictures.

Some big news for me came this month. I finally got an interview with the Alabama Department of Public Health and was hired on! I start December the 17th and I’m looking forward to it. I’d actually started looking for a job several months back and finding a job in Montgomery, AL with a degree in graphic design is no easy task. So I am leaving after almost 2 years of working as the web developer for Hatton-Brown. Been fun and wish everyone there the best.

Also this month the Futurama movie came out!! Benders Big Score is the name, a straight to DVD title and worth buying. I’ve watched it several times already and plan on watching it again. Hopefully the new episodes or movies wont take longer to come out. Something else I accomplished recently was beating Super Mario Galaxy with all 120 stars (lots of aggrivating challenges) for the Nintendo Wii. I love playing with my Wii. Christmas is right around the corner. Watch out. I still gotta buy stuff. Buy me something!!
