So Monday on March 16, 2009 some friends and I traveled to the great Birmingham to the Bottle Tree Cafe. We went to go see Cerebral Ballzy, Totally Michael, NinjaSonik, Team Robospierre, and The Death Set (click each band to visit their site/myspace pending on which one I found.) Cerebral Ballzy was alright to me. They were punk type music and I just couldnt get into it and it didnt help that the singer was drunk. Totally Michael was up next and this is my second time seeing him. Last time was last year at MC Chris at the Zydeco. He put on a great show as he did last time I saw him. Here are some videos I posted on youtube of his performance. There is some cursings, so youngings cover them ears, they’re gonna splode.
The third band was Ninja Sonik. These guys were a great rap group from good ol Brooklyn. They put on a great show as well. I should have some videos upload on youtube soon. Fourth band was Team Robospierre and they played on the floor and they were surrounded by the crowd dancing around having fun. The music was good though. The last set was with The Death Set, these guys were fun to!! Enjoyed the show quite a bit. Hope to see them when they come around again later.
The show ended around 2:30 am’sh. We made it home around 3:30-4:00am’sh. Long long drive. Lots of fun though!!
