This was a photo filled weekend. Friday night I did nothing, I had planned on going to First Fridays at the Montgomery Museaum of Fine Arts and then taking my friend to dinner for her bday, but that got canned. So I played video games all night, beat Gears of Wars of Insane. I spent Saturday not really doing anything, but that night i was taking pictures of downtown Montgomery till about midnight or so, wondering around the block in my area. Gallery Here.
Sunday afternoon, a friend (Brad) and I (Me), went to the Regions Bank Art Show held by Montgomery Art Guild. Some pretty good stuff and they actually had some digital work, some good and some not that great. We even got our comments taken by the Montgomery Advertiser (hooray I’m a photographer in the paper and brads an artist). The best of show was a cool picture of a dead tree, but it just looked like it was inverted in photoshop…Hmm. Towards the end we ran into two of our teachers from AUM. Peggie Brown (graphic design) and Richard Mills (Painting). For those of you who know Peggie, she says Hi!

Friendly neighborhood loft spider to the rescue!
So after the art show we went up to the roof of my loft and took some pictures. After that, Brad suggested we try and check out a trainyard. We did and we took lots of pictures. Really cool place. Main bad thing though, it was Mosquito Hell!! I was batting them off left and right, my legs have bites all over and they itch like mad crazy (I’m doing pretty good to not scratch tho). Here is the Ghost Trainyard Gallery.
Also here is a collection of random cell phone pictures of friends and random nerdom. Cellz Gallery.
Loft Update. Well I’m mostly settled in. I now have blinds to cover my massive windows. Some minor things need to be fixed here and they should be shortly. I’ve been told by former Foshee residents that they do a great job of getting repairs done in a timely manner. I’m just waiting on them to give me my old key or get the storage room re-keyed so that I can put some stuff in there to get it out of the way, then I can plan a Loft Party or game/movie night or something. I have furniture. I just need to buy some custom frames for some prints so I can hang them on my walls. Does anyone know of anyone who does good reasonably priced frames? I have about ten pieces that need custom sizing. I also plan on ordering something from Whatisblik.com to add some color to my loft.
That’s it for now, but you don’t have to take my word for it.

I’m not sure if you remember me from downstairs, but I stumbled across your blog and think your work is amazing! I love the shots that you took of our building, and I’m quite jealous that you have been to the roof and basement. Don’t hesitate to knock on my door anytime…especially if drunk girls are conveniently parked outside making fools of themselves…I hate that I missed it!
hey Savannah. I was the one that helped Sayed move in that day we came by to see your loft.
Sayed you took some great photos. They turned out well. I had a good time too. Im still working on getting my digital slr. Im having my film rolls developed now so I’ll post those soon.
Awww. I’m sorry about Friday. I am a loser! I have just been busy lately. We will have to hang soon. I drew you a graffiti on FB. Click on it and then click on “replay” there is a secret message. LOL.
