Big Flimpin 2008

Hey guys, quick update. House is “done” according to contractor, but with still some questionable items to deal with. I’m going to be asking some questions to city of Prattville regarding things in our house and whether or not it is right, waiting for a return call from planning and development. Overall this has been crap after crap experience, first the tornado and then the crappy contractor. So if you ever have to do any remodeling or need a house built, DO NOT USE WATTS HOMES!! That’s whose been doing the work on our home. So maybe we’ll get to move back in this month or next.

On a different note, this weekend was FLIMP FESTIVAL in Montgomery, AL. Had some friends do some chalk art for it and I have pictures for ya to see. CLICK HERE TO VIEWETH THEMETH!! (note: if you want to save any of the images, just right click an image, open image in new window, then in the new window, right click the image and save as…) Some badass stuff was made, unfortunately I didnt get to contine my image taking due to stupid rain saturday morning, ruining most of the art Also this weekend, spent time with freinds at LEKS and Sinclairs. Also saw IRONMAN twice, bad ass movie, go see it.

Weekend before this one, I went to Birmingham, AL and went to the Magic City Art Connection, which turned out pretty good. Lots of great stuff, if I was richer’er I woulda come home with lots of arts!! My friend Crystal and her man went with me. Had a good time!! Also saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall again that weekend, another GREAT movie. If you can find it, look for the song “Dracula’s Lament” by Jason Segel!! Great stuff.

And the weekend before last weekend, I went to IKEA and got myself a new bed, dresser, shelving and some lucky bamboo. That was a fun day. Spent that entire Saturday with three good friends. Had a blast in Little Five Points!!
